This adult learning course is designed to encourage the creative spirit in the artist, and is suitable for all levels of artistic talent. Artist’s who have taken my workshops in the past, will be assisted to go beyond their previous achievements, and develop their own vision and artistic expression.
You may use any water media of your choice, however my demonstrations will be using artist quality acrylics (fluid and heavy bodied) and acrylic mediums on cotton rag watercolour paper. A supply list of what you will see me present should be used as a guide only. (Please, no oil based paints or solvents)
There will be a strong emphasis on design and composition, and the use of colour, shape, value, and texture in your paintings. Learning and creativity will take place through demonstrations, critiques, as well as individual painting time.

Flowers will be the inspiration for colourful and energetic paintings. Learn to see and express your paintings in terms of colour, shape and texture.
This course will include information covered in the Watermedia Painting Workshop, and will focus on various ways to approach painting landscapes. Starting with the basic abstract shapes seen in the landscape, the artist has the choice to capture the illusion or build the image to further detail.
This course will include information covered in the Watermedia Painting Workshop, and will focus on various ways to approach painting abstracts. Abstract paintings can be created from representational subjects, and non objective work can express design.
This course will include information covered in the Watermedia Painting Workshop, and will focus on various ways to incorporate collage elements into watermedia paintings. Build images that will lead you down a creative and spontaneous path.
