Giclée

The term Giclée originated in 1991 with the intention of distinguishing "fine art prints" created with digital output from those for non-art or commercial purposes.

The word Giclée (pronounced jee-clay) is a derivative of the French words gicleur (nozzle) and gicler (spray). Therefore, Giclée directly translated means (spraying nozzle), which is basically how most digital printers direct ink onto various materials.

Linda's Giclée is printed on Acid Free Canvas.

The inks used are pigmented, making the print water resistant and archival.

I am making several of my Equine paintings available as Giclée reproductions.
